Judo tournament planning

Tools and guides for judo tournament organisers. From quick match count estimates to detailed planning guides for IJF competition systems, repechage and weight category management.

Judo is one of the most demanding combat sports to organise correctly. The IJF competition system uses multiple repechage formats depending on category size — a 5-person category runs differently to a 32-person category, and the match count changes in ways that are not obvious without a calculator. Add multiple age groups (U9 through Senior), weight categories that vary by age, floating weight groups for younger athletes, and the requirement to balance referees, rest periods, and mat assignments — and the planning workload is significant. These tools and guides are built specifically for that complexity.
